Groups of 7th grade students used elements of commercials from pop culture to create their own interpretation of what the Amendments to the the Constitution mean to the US in short digital videos. The videos illustrate the 1st (speech and press), 2nd (bear arms), 3rd (quartering), 8th (cruel or unusual punishment), and 15th (African American voting rights) Amendments. This is a film created more than two years ago yet one that the CVCV teachers and team has talked about much during our current work to understand digital video composing.
